CRPF cane charge photo journalist at Nowhatta, 3 injured

Srinagar, September 29: The sleuths of CRPF here in Nowhatta area pounced upon photo journalists and injured two of them while performing professional duty. The journalists staged a dharna to protest hooliganism of CRPF personnel.
Details available indicate that sleuths of CRPF tried to stop some photo journalists and camera men from performing their professional duty while they were engaged in fighting pitched battles with protestors in Nawhatta area after Friday prayers. The errant CRPF men flexed their muscles, pounced upon photo journalists and beat them black and blue. Two photo journalists Sajad Hussain and Tawseef Mustafa associated with AFP, one of the leading international news agencies and camera man Sajad Ahmed owing allegiance to "Times Now" Tv Channel were injured as a result of the CRPF hooliganism. All the three injured photo journalists were shifted to SKIMS Soura. Following assurances from police authorities at Nowhatta, the protests journalist got pacified and ended their dharna.
