Early Times report Jammu, Aug 27- Dr .Kavita Suri, Assistant Director, Centre for Adult, Continuing Education and Extension (CACE&E), University of Jammu, represented India at the 3rd International NGO Conference on History and Peace held at Seoul, South Korea from August 19-23, 2009. The conference was attended by over 100 delegates from 20 countries. The Conference hosted by Northeast Asian History Foundation, Korea was co-organized by the International Network for Peace and Conflict Resolution, The Korean Future Foundation, The Institute of International Peace Studies, Kyung Hee University, Seoul, South Korea Dr. Suri presented her paper on the theme "The Kashmir Conflict, Root Causes, Role of NGOs in peace building and some ideas of its solution" She was the only delegate from India for this conference. During the five-day conference, international NGO workshops especially devoted to discussing territorial issues and conflict resolution were held. The aim of the conference was to understand the root causes and background of territorial issues and international conflicts; to clarify the role of NGOs in peaceful solutions to these problems within the context of historical reconciliation
