| Platinum Jubilee Celebrations | | RBI organizes outreach program in remote Puneja village | | Early Times Report Bhaderwah, Aug 28- As part of Platinum Jubilee Celebrations the Reserve Bank of India Jammu office organized an outreach program at village Puneja in Bhaderwah and also at Government Degree College here today. Both the programs were presided over by Arnab Roy, Regional Director for J&K, RBI. Speaking at an impressive ceremony organized at the Government Degree College, Roy said that on completing 75 years of service to the nation, RBI has decided to reach out to the people living in the remotest corners of the country in order to explain to them the impact that RBI has on their lives , the steps that RBI is taking to safeguard their interests and in order to persuade them to be a part of the financial system of the country so as to achieve the ultimate dream of all inclusive growth. These programs were attended by newly appointed SDM Bhaderwah Yasha Mudgal, Chief Executive Officer of Bhaderwah Development Authority Kalyan Singh Parihar, Principal, Bhaderwah Degree College Dr. Mohammed. Iqbal, Lead District Manager, Doda District R.L.Waza, BDO, Anil Kumar Thakur, senior officers of J&K Bank Ltd., State Bank of India, Punjab National Bank, Ellaquai Dehati Bank and Jammu Central Cooperative Bank, Members of Faculty of the Government Degree College, Bhaderwah and Government Middle School, Puneja besides a large number of people from the civil society including women, senior citizens and students of the College and the School. CEO Kalyan Singh Parihar appreciated the initiative of Reserve Bank of India in coming to a remote place like Bhaderwah to spread its message of financial inclusion. He expressed the hope that RBI would continue its outreach activities in the times to come even after the conclusion of the Platinum Jubilee celebrations.
