The recent advertisement issued by Executive Engineer, PWD (R&B) Division, Kishtwar, inviting tenders on behalf of the Governor of Jammu & Kashmir for construction of Inspection Hut at Lass, Block Drabshalla of Kishtwar district published in a local daily on August 26 is the latest example of how things are manipulated and frauds committed in government departments.
This was alleged here today by BJP State General Secretary Shamsher Singh Manhas while addressing press conference at party headquarters.
Shamsher Singh Manhas said an adevertisement bearing No. 399-434 dated August 18 clearly mentions August 18 to August 25 as dates for collecting tender forms, which means August 18 is the first day and August 25 is the last day for the purpose. He asked when last date to collect tender forms is August 25, how this advertisement was published in local newspaper on August 26 i.e. one day after the last date and said this simply implies that how the mal practice has rooted within the department to favour the blue eyed.
‘All this is happening in the coalition government headed by a Chief Minister who makes high claims of transparency, accountability and giving corruption free government while his own colleagues are involved in corrupt practices, he said.
The BJP leader said that he has authentic information that the PWD Minister, who is sitting MLA from Inderwal assembly constituency is directly involved in this whole game plan. Block Drabshalla falls in Inderwal Constituency and the minister has misused his official authority to get tender in favour of his own man by manipulating the things, he alleged.
Shamsher Singh Manhas said it is a fraud and the BJP demands an immediate high level inquiry to bring the truth before public and expose the black ship in the government.
