5 traders booked for hoarding and profiteering

Continuing its drive against the hoarding and profiteering during the holy month the Awantipora Police has booked five traders for violation of Essential Commodities Act. Police reports said that during the drive against the black marketers at Nowdal and Dadsara Tral falling under the jurisdiction of Police Station Awantipora five vegetable sellers and butchers were booked for violation of Essential Commodities Act.
‘FIR No. 136/2009 under section 3/8 E.C Act, FIR No. 137/2009 under section 3/8 E.C Act, FIR No. 138/2009 under section 3/8 E.C Act, FIR No. 139/2009 under section 3/8 E.C Act and FIR No. 140/2009 under section 3/8 E.C Act have been registered in Police Station Awantipora in this regard.
