| JSM criticizes Mehbooba for suggesting Azad ‘Riyasat’ | | | Early Times Report Jammu Aug 28- Jammu State Morcha has strongly criticized the statement of PDP President Mehbooba Mufti made in the state Assembly suggesting Independent State (Azad Riyasat) could only be the solution of the Kashmir problem. The Morcha in a meeting held today under the chairmanship of its president, Prof. Virender Gupta condemning the statement of Mehbooba Mufti pointed out that Mehbooba has brought the cat out of the bag and clearly specified the objective of the so called Self Rule being propounded by PDP. In response to her criticism of Government of India, JSM said Mehbooba Mufti must realize that her father was party to most of the decisions taken by the State Government or by the Government of India, those being cursed and criticized by her. The Morcha alleged Mufti Sayeed was responsible for dethroning Farooq Abdullah as Chief Minister of the State twice once by replacing him by G M Shah and once by imposing Governor-Rule in 1990. JSM in a resolution reiterated its demand for creation of separate Jammu State. The Morcha also condemned their action of linking opening of Central University in Jammu province with the sanctioning of another Central University for Kashmir Province. ‘The promise of ministers made publicly to media that office of Vice-Chancellor of the University would start operating from Jammu and foundation stone for construction of the campus would be laid down shortly remained so far unfulfilled, he said. JSM members welcomed the announcement made in the Parliament sanctioning IIM for Jammu and Kashmir State and called upon the leaders of all political parties and the people of Jammu region in general to impress upon the State Government as well as the Government of India with forceful and united voice to establish IIM between Batote and Patrnitop or in any other suitable place in Jammu province.
