Jammu, Aug 29: Rural Development Department Block Akhnoor organized an awareness camp on 29 August 2009 at Hr. Secondary School Nardi under NREGA & TSC. Block Development Officer Akhnoor Sushil Kumar Attri while speaking on occasion in presence of Principal Vinay Sehgal, highlighted the need and importance of sanitation and requested the students to act as messenger to further motivate their parents to adopt hygiene and sanitation practices besides construct the household latrines. He also laid stress to motivate their family members to come forward and register themselves under NREGA to take full advantage of scheme. B.D.O Akhnoor assured that more such camps in different schools in block Akhnoor shall be organized on routine basis.
