Jammu, Aug 29: Weeks after he was recalled from the Raj Bhawan after a year long of successful term in most trying times of Governor’s direct rule and later during Amarnath Yatra, senior IAS officer Bharat Bhushan Vyas was today handed over another key responsibility of Commissioner Secretary Planning and Development Department besides manning the Economic Reconstruction Agency.
Besides posting of Vyas, the state Cabinet which met in Srinagar today under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah approved transfers and postings of 25 other officers.
According to the Cabinet order, Pramodh Jain, IAS, Commissioner Secretary, Social Welfare Department has been transferred and posted as Commissioner Secretary, Higher Education Department.
Umang Narula, IAS, OSD in Resident Commission, New Delhi has been transferred and posted as Commissioner Secretary Rural Development Department. N. K. Verma, IAS, Commissioner Secretary Higher and Technical Education has been transferred and posted as Member, J&K Special Tribunal. He will hold additional charge of the post of Chairman, J&K Special Tribunal till further orders.
Naseem Lankar, IAS, Commissioner Secretary Housing and Urban Development Department has been transferred and posted as Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir. She will take over charge of the post on the retirement of Masood Samoon on 31.08.2009. Abdul Hamid, IAS, Commissioner Secretary Transport Department has been transferred and posted as Commissioner Secretary Housing and Urban Development department.
K. B. Jandial, IAS, Secretary CAPD shall also hold the additional charge of Administrative Secretary Transport Department. M. S. Khan, IAS, Secretary Rural Development Department has been transferred and posted as Secretary Social Welfare Department. Azad Ahmad Lone, IAS, Director Employment has been asked to report to General Administration Department for further postings. Secretary Labour and Employment will hold the additional charge of the post of Director Employment till further orders.
B. A. Runiyal, IAS, Director Technical Education has been transferred and posted as Secretary Technical Education and Youth Services and Sports Departments. Yedullah, IAS, Secretary in the Planning and Development Department has been transferred and posted as Secretary in the Cooperative Department.
Khawaja Farooq Ahmad Renzu, KAS, Commissioner, Srinagar Municipal Corporation, Srinagar shall hold the exclusive charge of the post of Director Information relieving him of the charge of Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Srinagar. Tufail Ahmad Mattoo, Joint Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Srinagar shall hold additional charge of the post of Commissioner temporarily till further orders.
Tashi Dorjee, IAS, Joint Financial Commissioner (Agrarian Reforms) has been transferred and posted in the Secretary in the Home Department. He will retain the charge of the present post till further orders.
GN Sufi, KAS, Director Stationery and Office Supplies has been transferred and posted as Registrar J&K Cooperatives Societies.
Mohammad Afzal Bhat, KAS, Deputy Commissioner Poonch has been transferred and posted as Deputy Commissioner Pulwama Mohammad Shafi Rather, KAS, Registrar, J&K Cooperative Societies has been transferred and posted as Director Technical Education.
Satish Nehru, KAS, Deputy Commissioner, Kargil has been transferred and posted as Managing Director, J&K Tourism Development Corporation. Parvez Ahmad Malik, KAS, Special Secretary Higher and Technical Education Department has been transferred and posted as Director Horticulture Planning and Marketing.
Mohammad Yousuf Dar, KAS, Special Secretary Agriculture Production Department has been transferred and posted as Director Stationery and Office Supplies.
Riyaz Ahmad Sheikh, KAS, Additional Commissioner, Commercial Taxes (Administration), Jammu has been transferred and posted as Deputy Commissioner, Kargil.
Shafiq Ahmad Raina, KAS, Director Youth Services and Sports has been transferred and posted as Special Secretary Agriculture Production Department
G. M. Dar, Joint Director (Admn) Youth Services and Sports shall look after the charge of Director Youth Services and Sports in addition to his own duties till further orders.
Ishtiyaq Ahmad Ashai, KAS, Deputy Commissioner, Pulwama has been transferred and posted as Additional Commissioner Kashmir.
A. R. Kuchai, KAS, Director, Horticulture Produce, Planning and Marketing has been transferred and posted as Special Secretary Health and Medical Education Department to look after the work of National Rural Health Mission (NRHM).
Kuldip Lal Khajuria, KAS, Additional District Development Commissioner, Samba has been transferred and posted as Deputy Commissioner, Poonch.
Sheikh Fayaz Ahmad, KAS, Deputy Commissioner, Commercial Taxes (Audit), Srinagar has been transferred and posted as Joint Transport Commissioner.
