| Banyan Tree School organizes health week | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Aug 30: A health week was organized by the principal and the chairperson of the Shauraya Educational Trust along with Dr Rajesh Singh Bhau Medical officer and Anil Goswami Pharmacist from the J&K Health Department Jammu at the Banayan Tree School as per the guidelines of the national school health program w.e.f 24th to 29th August. As per the release the main aim of the health week was to provide the school health services. The school health services provided in the school to promote physical mental social and cultural health of school children. In this regards the activities such as representatives promotive and curative services were provided. Periodic health check ups to identify the health problems of children to treat further in future if required with the knowledge of their respective parents. Health education regarding environment sanitation, personal hygiene, safe drinking water, nutrition and communicable diseases. With children being vulnerable to no end in sight H1N1 influenza an awareness about the disease is given to the school children along with the staff. A key to keep the immune system strong by following guidelines like loose weight, exercises, eliminate sugar from our diet, stop junk food, plenty of sleep, eat nutritious food with lot of citrus etc.
