| World tourism day observed at Patnitop | | |
UDHAMPUR, SEPTEMBER 29 -Mr Arif Hussain student of PG Degree College Udhampur was adjudged as over all best in a declamation contest on the topic “Tourism Industry and its benefit to the economy” jointly organized by Tourism Department Authority and Department of Tourism J&K State to mark the celebrations of World Tourism Day–2006 at the scenic picnic spot, Patnitop.
Miss Rakshnanda of Government Degree College Bhadarwah bagged second prize while Miss Meenakshi Manhas of Women College Udhampur and Miss Shahida Malik of Government Higher Secondary School Bhadarwah tied the third prize in the contest.
The Chief Executive Officer, Patnitop Development Authority (PDA) Mr K K Gupta was the chief guest on the occasion.
Chief Executive Officer of Bhadarwah Development Authority, Kishtwar Development Authority, Lakhanpur-Basohli Development Authority, Principals of colleges and schools coordinated the mega event.
