| Minor girl commits suicide in Jammu | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Aug 31 : A minor girl allegedly committed suicide by consuming a poisonous substance while her sister is battling for life after attempting the same in the winter capital of the state.
''Two sisters allegedly consumed poisonous substance at their residence this morning, after which one of them died,'' police sources said.
Found in an unconscious state by the family members, they were immediately shifted to the hospital where doctors declared one of the sisters brought dead while the other was battling for life.
''The identities and the reason behind extreme step was yet to be ascertained,'' police added and said a case had been registered and investigations were in progress.
