| Wipro BPO Job Fest attracts more than 400 students | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Aug 31- To explore career opportunity in the fast growing Business Processing Outsourcing Industry, Wipro BPO, the BPO arm of global IT giant Wipro, in association with CT Group of Institutions, organized its first Job Fest for the youth of the Jammu and Kashmir. More than four hundred candidates from the state participated in this employment event. This job fest was open for the students and those others who will be completing their graduation in 2010 and have done graduation in 2009 or earlier. Officials from Wipro Rakesh Alamal and Mohit Wason informed the candidates about the opportunities in the Business Process Outsourcing Industry. They said there are more than 27000 employees working with the Wipro BPO. More than 50,000 candidates were short listed through rigorous selection procedure of Group Discussion, Telephonic Interview round followed by technical test and HR Interview. Director Corporate Relations and Placements, Prof. Manhar Arora told that Wipro Mega Job Fest has brought smiles on the faces of students those were fearful about their careers because of the recession. This employment event is a good sign as IT companies have started their recruitment drives for the session 2009 and 2010. Chairman S.
