| Top HM militant killed in Mohare | | | Early Times Report
Reasi, Aug 31: Security forces claimed to have gunned down a top militant of Hizbul Mujahideen in twenty hour long encounter in Sildhar area of Mahore this afternoon.
Informed sources told news Agency of Kashmir that on specific information Police, SOG and troops of 61 RR launched a joint search operation in Sildhar area of Mohare late last night.
Soon after the militants reached the target area they were fired by a group of three militants triggering an encounter between the troops and militants.
One Militant was killed during the twenty hour long operation while two others have reportedly fled from under the cover of dense forests.The slain militant has been identified as Aejaz Ahmad resident of Doda; however army claims that the slain militant was foreigner and identified him as Abu Sahil.
One AK 47, 1 303 riffle, ten AK Bullets, one Radio set and a NOKIA mobile besides other items were recovered from the encounter site.Combing operation was still going on in the area to nab other militants who are reportedly hiding in the Jungles. (NAK)
