| No PG candidates for 21 vacant posts in Ramban in J&K | | | Early Times Report Srinagar | Monday, Aug 31 Claiming that not a single candidate had applied for 21 vacant lecturer posts in as many subjects in the educational institution in Ramban district, Jammu and Kashmir Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs Ali Mohammad Sagar today said applications are now being invited from candidates of other districts. In reply to a calling attention notice moved by Vikar Rasool of Congress in the Legislative Assembly, Mr Sagar said against the 34 vacant posts of Lecturer, 23 post graduate candidates had been engaged on academic arrangement on need basis. He said despite two advertisements, 21 subject wise post graduate candidates could not become available in Ramban district. Mr Sagar said applications were being invited from the candidates of other districts. He said 20 posts of Masters were being filled up by departmental Promotion Committee under rules. Fifty posts of teachers including 10 in Banihal constituency had already been referred to Service Selection Board for selection of suitable candidates, he added. He said 13 candidates had been engaged on academic arrangement in higher secondary School, Banihal while five posts of teachers, 15 posts of Masters and 3 posts of headmasters were lying vacant in the high school. He said 2 posts of Masters and 3 posts of teachers were vacant in Middle School of Banihal, which were being filled up shortly.
