Doda, August 31: Some militants barged into the house of one Gul Mohammad in the early hours and shot him in Marwaha area today. The matter was brought to the notice of police which launched search operation to make contact with them. While the operation was on police party was fired on.Police also retaliated but militants managed to escape. However, no casualty has been reported from both sides. Meanwhile on specific information army launched search operation and rounded up some militants in Shapran nullaha sector Mahore and in the ensuing firing one Hijbul Mujahideen militant identified as Ajaiz Ahmed Khanday resident of Kulhand was eliminated. Army also recovered arms and ammunition from his possession including one AK 47 rifle,one magazine,20 rounds,one mobile set and Indian currency of Rs 600.While rest of the militants are reportedly manage to escape from the spot.
