| Star Corps celebrates 4th Raising Day | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Sept 01- Rising Star Corps celebrated its 4th Raising Day here today. The Corps has its span encompassing the states of Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab and Himachal Pradesh. During the past years, the Corps has redefined its operational concepts and plans extensively. By proactive measures, it has ensured zero infiltration by active coordination with the BSF deployed along the IB. The troops deployed in Counter Insurgency Operation have excelled in performance of their tasks in Counter Terrorism and aid to civil authorities. On this august occasion, a trekking expedition was flagged off by the General Officer Commanding, Lt Gen GM Nair, at Yol Cantonment. The expedition will cover a distance of 200 Kms through the treacherous Dhauladhar ranges. A cultural and social function was organized for all ranks and families as part of Raising Day celebrations. Lt Gen GM Nair, complimented commanders, staff and all ranks who have toiled tirelessly with dedication and perseverance to maintain exacting standards in the Raising Star Corps. The events were also attended by civil dignitaries and retired defence officers.
