Jammu, Sept 1: A cashier of Jammu and Kashmir Bank, who absconded with a cash of Rs 39.5 lakh, was arrested by the police from Bhaderwah town of Doda district early today.
Mohammad Lone, a cashier with J and K Bank of Bhaderwah branch, resident of Marwah, who absconded with Rs 39.5 lakh yesterday, was apprehended during wee hours today, police sources said. The Sources said Lone left the bank after handing the keys to his colleague.He was arrested from his hometown in Marwah on specific information and is being interrogated, a senior police official said.
He said the details about the amount he carried along were yet to be ascertained.
