| Madhu Sharma elected President of Bus Stand Shopkeepers Association | | | Early Times Report
Jammu Sept 2- Shopkeepers Association General Bus Stand Jammu in a meeting held under the chairmanship of Rakesh Abrol has unanimously elected Madhu Sharma as its new President. All other members of outgoing executive body of the association were re-elected to their respective posts. They include Suriender Kumar Gupta as Senior Vice President, Rajesh Gandotra Vice President, Inderjeet Pal Vice President, Narendra Sharma General Secretary, Variendra Gupta and A K Gupta Secretaries, Satish Uppal joint Secretary, Vijay Sodhi Organizer and Vijay Chadha Cashier.
It may be mentioned here that a week ago the old executive body of the association headed by Ashwani Sharma was dissolved by the Chairman of the association Rakesh Abrol, under powers vested with him under the constitution of the association.
The meeting also resolved to work with more vigour to solve the problems of the shopkeepers in the general bus stand and make all out efforts to get the bus stand upgraded. The association will persuade the concerned authorities to remove encroachments within the bus stand premises, remove congestion and haphazard parking of the buses, for shifting of idle buses to the yards as well as to improve the cleanliness and sanitation of the premises. It observed that presently the bus stand premises present a chaotic state.
