| HC directs State to appoint petitioner as Patwari | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 02- In a petition filed by the petitioner Parkash Chand challenging the selection for undergoing Patwar training, Justice Nirmal Singh of J&K High Court Jammu Wing today directed the respondents to appoint the petitioner against the post of Patwari in the Scheduled Caste Category.
After hearing Advocate Abhinav Sharma appearing for the petitioner and Additional Advocate General AH Qazi appearing for the state, Justice Nirmal Singh observed that the Court is left with no option but to direct the respondents to appoint the petitioner against the post of Patwari in the SC Category. Court is fully aware of the fact that one candidate already selected in the open category has to make way for the petitioner. In case no post is available at this stage the respondents are bound to create additional post of Patwari for the petitioner keeping in view the law laid down by the Apex Court without disturbing the appointments already made. With these observations Court allowed the petition and directed the respondents to appoint the petitioner against the post of Patwari in SC category. JNF
