9/3/2009 11:27:31 PM
Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 3- Rashtriya Krantikari Samajwadi Party (RKSP) has demanded withdrawal from circulation currency notes of the denomination of Rs 500 and Rs 1000, as a solution to unearth the black money as well as to curb the circulation of fake currency in the market.
Addressing media persons here today, Tanveer Hussain Babzada, state president, RKSP expressed his concern over billions of rupees in number two business as well as fake currency on a large scale in circulation and suggested this as an ideal solution to the menace.
He described eight month rule of Omar Abdullah led coalition government as a failure on all fronts. He lamented that for last over a year Home Guards personnel are sitting on dharna and their grievances have not been redressed. The employees of SRTC, who are demanding disbursement of their salaries, are being subjected to lathi charge, tear smoke shelling and even firing.
Babzada further said that despite liberal funding from the Centre the government has not been unable to solve the basic problems of the people.
