Omar inaugurates CM’s Grievance Cell

SRINAGAR, SEPTEMBER 04 – Chief Minister, Mr. Omar Abdullah Friday formally inaugurated the Chief Minister’s Grievance Cell at Civil Secretariat here creating an opportunity for the people of Jammu and Kashmir to register their complaints and get details about the status and nature of disposals. The cell was on trial run for last three months.
Describing the cell an effective mechanism to entertain the complaints of general public, Chief Minister said that people should receive the prompt, to the point and appropriate response from the cell. “The complainer should get all information about the status of the complaint, progress and the action taken”, he said adding that he would personally audit the working of the cell regularly.
The cell which is connected with 120 Community Information Centres (CICs) in as many blocks will receive the complaints on internet round the clock and from 9.30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the Toll Free No. 1800 180 7003. The people can personally register their complaints at the CICs and get feedbacks about the same from these centres besides registering complaints on http://10.149.2.4/awaz.However, the requests regarding the employment and transfers will not be entertained and people have been asked not to make such requests for the duo purpose to the Grievance Cell.
The complaints received in the cell will be segregated, analyzed and transferred to the concerned departments for reply/action taken within five days. The reminder for the pending complaints will go to the concerned on every Monday. The information about the status, progress and action taken will available on the website or can be got from CISs or directly from the Grievance Cell.
