| Hold negotiations with striking SRTC employees, Bhagat to Govt. | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Sept 4- Expressing its concern over the callous and indifferent attitude of the state government towards the striking employees of SRTC, the BJP General Secretary Bali Bhagat has impressed upon the government and the management to hold negotiations with the striking employees and accede to their demands forthwith. The BJP leader suggested for setting up of a high powered committee of experts to devise ways and means to improve the financial health of the SRTC. He also called for reconstituting the management and Board of Directors setup by associating the persons having expertise into the transport sector. He said SRTC employees have worked in very difficult situation during militancy and provided transport service to the people in far-flung areas at the cost of their lives and ignoring their genuine demands by the state government in unfortunate. The SRTC employees have been forced by the government to take to streets with their families who are at the verge of starvation due to non payment of their monthly salaries. Government should avoid use and throw policy towards SRTC employees whose services were oftenly utilized in valley, during Jammu strikes and on special occasions like Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra, holidays at the revered Hazratbal congregations or during the days at the time of Secretariat move and for conducting assembly sessions, he added.
