| Cop among 2 assaulted at Railway station | | | Early Times report

A General Railway Police constable included two persons were stabbed by a servant of a hotel today. They were rushed to GMC hospital for treatment. The incident occurred when a youth identified as Rinku son of Baga Ram resident of Amritsar appeared in Anpurna hotel for lunch where he had verbal duel with the servant of the hotel identified as Pawan son of Kaka Ram resident of Khour.In the ensuing quarrel Pawan picked up a knife and stabbed Rinku.Rinku in order to escape further assault rushed towards main road where a GRP constable identified a Asgar Ali intervened but he stabbed too. Both were rushed to GMC hospital for treatment. Rinku in his police statement alleged that he was charged Rs 40 per rice plate while as the actual rate of the rice plate is Rs 15.Police has arrested the accused and a case has been registered against him.
