| Rakhee Traders demand rifting of tax | | | EARLY TIMES RPEORTER

A delegation of ‘Rakhee Traders’ met the former Member Parliament & Senior Vice President of Pradesh Congress Committee Pt. Dharam Paul Sharma and appraised him about the unreasonable tax of 12.5 on the sale of “ Rakhees” in the state of Jammu & Kashmir.
The delegation led by Chaman Jain Secretary PCC appraised Sharma about the tax on the sale of Rakhee threads in this state which is exempted throughout the country. The sate of Punjab & Delhi withdrew the tax of 4% after the implementation of Value Added Tax (VAT) in the country. The total sale of Rakhee threads in the state is only to the extent of about 15 lakhs in a year.
Suman assured the delegation to take up the justified demand with the state government in view of the religious sentiments.
