| JMC continues drive against adulteration of milk, encroachments | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Sep 5: While continuing the drive against adulteration of milk, the team led by municipal veterinary officer visited the areas of New Plot, Janipur, Talab Tillo, Parade, University Chowk, Railway Station area, Trikuta Nagar and Satwari and checked 14 nos. of milk canes. As per a release a fine of Rs. 2100.00 was realized from the erring milk vendors on spot. The team also lifted 14 no. of stray animals from Jewel, Panama Chowk, Trikuta Nagar and Greater Kailash areas and impounded them to municipal cattle pond. A fine of Rs. 2100.00 were charged from the owners of stray animals. Besides, as a part of anti encroachment drive started by the Jammu municipal corporation the field staff of enforcement wing led by the chief enforcement officer alongwith police forced carried out drive and removed encroachments made by the shopkeepers by keeping the goods/ article in front of their shops by encroaching upon payments, footpaths etc from B.C road, Bakshi Nagar, Shakti Nagar, Muthi, Lower Roop Nagar, Paloura Janipur and Rehari areas. During the drive the team seized 7 no. of rehries found plying without licences and also the goods/ articles found kept on pavements, footpaths on spot from there, the release added.
