| At Mayor’s behest JMC Engrs end strike | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Sep 5: The mayor invited the core group of striking engineers of Jammu Municipal Corporation today in his office chambers regarding the ongoing strike of JMC engineers.
As per a release, the core group headed by Er. Roshan –Din had a threadbare discussion on the issue with the mayor in presence of worthy commissioner JMC and other municipal functionaries.
The mayor has highly condemned the incident happened on 28-08-2009 in the general house meeting and has assured that such incident will not occur in future and action against the culprit shall be initiated under Municipal Act/Law.
As such on the assurance of mayor and commissioner JMC the core group of engineers has decided to suspend the strike for a period of 4 weeks, keeping in view the civic amenities and works of public importance, the release added.
