| Army chief visits White Knight Corps | | |

The Chief of the Army staff, gen. JJ Singh arrived on a two-day visit to White Knight Corps. The Army chief was received by Lt Gen Deepak Kapoor GOC-in-c North Command and Lt Gen TK Sapru GOC 16 Corps.
Gen JJ Singh was given a detailed briefing about the counter terrorism situation in the Jammu region by the Corps Commander at Nagrota and apprised regarding the degree of operational preparedness and steps being instituted to check infiltration control terrorist activities in the hinterland.
Later, Gen. JJ sigh visited Rajouri, Poonch & Maniyarwala. He briefed in detailed by the respective Formation Commanders on ground regard various counter infiltration and counter terrorism operation being conducted. The Army chief expressed his deep satisfaction at the prevailing situation and lauded the troops on ground for their dedication and doggedn to operate in such hostile terrain conditions and fighting the menace of terrorism.
