| NMC appeals for special financial package | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Sep 5: President of National Mazdoor Conference Subash Shastri, has appealed the 13th finance commission to provide a special financial package to Jammu and Kashmir for fully funding expenditures for implementation of 6th pay commission recommendations in favour of state government employees and pensioners.
As per a release, in a memorandum to chairman of the commission Dr. V.B. Kelkar, Shastri pleaded in the memorandum for liberal funding to J&K so that beside providing all benefits of the 6th pay commission to the state government employees and pensioners as well as payment of arrears on account of pay revision. He said a lump sum amount of Rs. 8000 crores be provide exclusively for the purpose.
The NMC leader’s also demanded special financial grants for meeting expenditure on account of regularization of the services of all daily wagers and casual labours, the release added.
