| PCC chief asks PDP explain self-rule idea | | | EARLY TIMES REPORTR JAMMU | SEPT 29 President Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee Peerzada, Mohd Sayeed has adked asked PDP to explain its idea of self-rule, as the term in its vague form has several connections and meanings, leading to various kinds of confusion amongst people. The PCC Chief held interactions with senior party functionaries at PCC HQ here today over the current political scenario and said that various options and solutions are being put forth by different groups and sections of people, having different shades of opinion, to the vexed problem of Jammu and Kashmir. A process of dialogue, deliberations and debate has been started by holding two Round Table Conference of great historical importance and constitution of working Groups by the Prime Minister to study, discuss and concretize valuable suggestions on various aspects of the problem. These propagating self-rule and autonomy as solution to the Kashmir Issue, must fully explain their theory, respecting the sentiments and aspirations of people of different regions of state to remove confusion in the public mind. Sayeed said that the coalition govt. in the state has been making progress on various fronts including accelerating equitable and all-round development of different parts of the state. However, restoration of normally and everlasting peace is the ultimate aim of the coalition govt. The congress-PDP coalition is based on certain principles and programmes in the shape of Common Minimum Programme (CMP), which is being implemented with full commitment. The PCC Chief also asked the party men including ministers and legislators not to ever-react on certain sensitive matters between coalition, without seeking approval of the party high command. He said the principles of coalition polities have to be respected by all partners strength the alliance, which is quite smooth and making every effort to come up to the exceptions of the people of all three regions of the state.
