| Farooq releases newspaper , magazine brought by Adarsh Group | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, SEPTEMBER 06 - Union Minister for new and renewable energy Dr Farooq Abdullah released the annual magazine “Adarsh” of ASN higher secondary school at an impressive function organized at Jammu Club here today. The daily newspaper ‘Excel Express’ of Adarsh group was also officially launched on the occasion.
Addressing the gathering, Dr Abdullah asserted that the secular and social fabric of Jammu and Kashmir ought to be strengthened at all costs so as to thwart the nefarious designs of anti-national elements bent upon to disturb prevailing peace and tranquillity in the state for vested interests.
Emphasizing on constant upgradation of knowledge through refresher courses, the Union Minister asked the teaching fraternity to participate regularly in training programmes to remain abreast with latest know-how. He said proposal has also been mooted to ensure adequate teachers in school located in remote inaccessible areas where incentives will also be given to the serving teachers.
He divulged that Distance Education System would also be introduced in these schools, which is a highly advanced technology to impart education on TV or any other similar medium but a lot still needs to be done in this direction. He asked the teaching fraternity to inculcate spirit of dedication and honesty and carve their students to such moulds which would prove the best citizens of tomorrow.
On the universal threat of global warming, Dr. Abdullah warned against its drastic effects and stressed on use of new renewable energy sources.
Congratulating the management for releasing the annual magazine , Dr. Abdullah said education is important for overall personality development of child and prepare them to face future challenges.
Director General of Police, Mr. Kuldeep Khoda (IPS) lauded the school management for showing brilliance in education as well as in extra-curricular activities. He said that the dissemination of information through his publication will prove an effective endeavour for bringing excellence in the field of modern education. He added that the expectations of our society concerning our educational standards can thus be fulfilled by highlighting the standards so far achieved by our educational institutions through such publications.
IGP, Jammu, Mr. Ashok Gupta (IPS) said that the school management is doing a pioneering job by providing opportunity to young minds to express themselves to develop their cognitive faculties and perception in a positive manner. He wished them success for future activities. Xxxxx
