| Mukti bag 3rd prize in National Level Devotional Song Competition | | | EARLY TIMES REPORTER JAMMU | SEPT 29 Mukti Talwar from the Department of Education, University of Jammu, brought laurels to the institution by winning the Third Prize in the All India Devotional Song Competition being jointly organized by Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board and J&K Tourism Department. She presented the devotional song “Maa Tumhare Kitne Dhaam” penned down by Vijay Atri and composed by Ravi Sharma in her melodious voice. Mukti received thunderous applause from the audience. It needs to be mentioned here that she has represented the University of Jammu in the North Zone Inter University Youth Festival Umang and has also to her credit a number of prizes in the Inter-Collegiate/Inter Departmental Competitions held under the Display Your Talent Contest in Light Vocal Solo, Western Vocal Solo, Group Dance, Group Song and Skits etc. Besides that she has also been awarded First Prize in Light Vocal Solo Music Competition 2005 and Second prize in Ghazal Singing both organized by J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages, Jammu Talwar also actively participated in the various Stage, Radio and Television programme. Prof. Amitabh Mattoo, Vice-Chancellor, University of Jammu. Prof. N.R.Sharma, Head, Department of Education and Chairman, Campus cultural Committee and Dr. P.S.Pathania, Dean Students Welfare has congratulated her on this achievement.
