Criticizing the decision of Upa govt on Vade-Matram issue, Praksh Javedkar, Sr BJP Leader and spokesperson said that Congress playing politics with the issue of Vande Matram” Initially, Arjun Singh Minster for HRD, issued an order making singing of “ Vande Matram” compulsory in all the educational institutions, but reversed it and made it optional only after succumbing to pressure from vested interest people”. He further said that “ Vande Matram” started with Bankim Chander Chatterjee and was taken forward by M.K Gandhi. The whole freedom struggle was on this slogan. It has great significance in our history, he added, former minister Chaman Lal Gupta, Babu Parmanand, Kavinder Gupta former Mayor and others also addressed on the occasion.
