| Self Rule Package to Gilgit a fraud, violates UN resolution | | | Early Timea Report:
Jammu, Sept 7- Strongly condemning the ISI game plan to annex Gilgit- Baltistan, the Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party Chief Prof Bhim Singh has accused Pakistan for committing genocide against the Gilgities and Balties by keeping them off from civil and political rights for last six decades.
In a statement today Prof Singh urged Indian leadership to take cognizance of the matter and stop Pakistan from grabbing Gilgit as Pakistan’s game plan of annexing the area which forms part of Jammu Kashmir State.
The Panthers Party Chief appreciated reaction of the people of Gilgit and their foremost political groups including GBF, GBUM and others in rejecting Pakistan’s so-called Self-rule Package for Gilgit-Baltistan. He said the his party has been supporting the Movement of the occupied Gilgit region seeking liberation from Pakistan’s dictatorial rule at all levels and shall continue to extend its full solidarity with the suffering people till their complete liberation.
Prof.Singh described the so-called Self Rule package as a fraud on the people of the region to make them slaves of Pakistan for ever in the name of self rule. He called the Package as another assault of Pakistan on the UNCIP resolution of August 13, 1948 where Pakistan was directed to withdraw her occupation armies from all occupied areas of POK and Gilgit.
