| Gupta hails formation of Kissan Advisory Board | | | Early Times Report: Jammu, Sep 7- Expressing content over the sympathetic decision taken by Chief Minister in favour of farmers of the state, Provincial President National Conference, Rattan Lal Gupta has described it a land mark step towards making farmers prosperous. “It was one of long pending demands put forth by NC and addressing the demand Omar Abdullah has proved his stand of commitment of development for all the sections of the society” said Gupta. He said by the creation of Board burning demands including exemption of taxes on fertilizers, tractors and allied products would be addressed to. He said, besides highlighting demands pertaining to peasants, Board will also help in extending solutions and suggestions for better future of the farming community. Gupta said that there is lot of difference in the rates of agricultural goods in Jammu and Kashmir and other states of the country which need to be streamlined besides arranging lift irrigation schemes for the farmers at higher reaches and Kandi areas Hailing the decision Gupta expressed gratitude to CM for giving nod on the day when party organized its first provincial level Kissan Conference. He said NC is being known as champion of farmers due Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah’s contribution and same has been repeated by Omar in the vast interest of farming community. |
