| HC directs respondents to maintain status quo | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 08- In a petition filed by EV Guide seeking directions to respondents to allow the petitioner to continue EV Guide at his respective center/primary school till regularization as permanent teacher, Justice Hakim Imtiyaz Hussain of J&K High Court Jammu Wing today issued notice to state of J&K through Commissioner/ Secretary Education, Director School Education Jammu, CEO Rajouri and Zonal Education Khawas Rajouri and in the meanwhile ordered that till objections are filed, present status of the petitioners shall be maintained.
The petitioner in the petition seeking direction to the respondents to convert the petitioner as Rehbar-e-Taleem teachers from EV guides by relaxing his age and education qualification and seeking quashment of order dated September 15, 2008 passed by CEO Rajouri and Government order dated June 26, 2008 passed by the Commissioner/ Secretary Education to the extent it provides 10+2 pass qualification for conversion of EVs into ReT being ultra virus of EGS scheme and violative of Article 14 of the Constitution.
