| NSS JU invites applications for filling up two posts of NSVs | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 9- National Service Scheme (NSS),University of Jammu has invited applications from the NSS volunteers to be deployed as National Service Scheme Volunteers (NSVs )as per the guidelines of the Department of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India.
According to a press release issued by Professor Jasbir Singh, NSS Coordinator, University of Jammu, there are two posts presently vacant for which applications are invited from the eligible candidates. The selected candidates would be provided stipend of Rs. 2000 per month besides traveling allowance and Rs. 500 per month as contingent funds.
For the National Service Scheme Volunteers (NSVs), the minimum educational qualification should be B.A, B.Sc., B Com, B .Sc Agri, B. Tech., B.E., Three Year Diploma from Polytechnic. Those having attained 27 years of age as on first January, 2009 shall be eligible to apply. However those belonging to SC/ST category the upper age limit have been fixed at 30 years. The women candidates shall also be given age relaxation up to 30 years.
The eligible candidates have been asked to submit their applications along with Character Certificate from the Head of the Institution last attended and attested copies of certificates in support of her/ his educational qualification, date of birth etc.
Interested candidates have been asked to submit their applications along with the required documents in the office of the Program Coordinator, NSS, University of Jammu within fifteen days from the date of publication of the advertisement.
