| TSO, supervisor suspended | | | Early Times Report Srinagar, September 09- Continuing with his drive to visit district headquarters and interact with public representative and personally assess the implementation of various initiatives taken by Minister for CAPD & Transport, Mr. Qamar Ali Akhoon last evening had another detailed review of availability of ration and K. Oil in Anantnag and Kulgam districts and ordered immediate action on some of the issues raised in the interaction.
Taking serious note of the complaints of irregularities and malpractices of distribution of K. Oil in Pahalgam constituency the Minister ordered suspension of Tehsil Supply Officer(TSO) and supervisor and cancellation of licenses of dealers pending further enquiry into the matter. On another complaint of Beersarn village Srigufwara, the Minister ordered suspension of concern supervisor for irregularities.
He ordered immediate enquiry into the distribution of ration and food grains in other areas, the Additional Deputy Commissioner Anantnag has been asked to conduct enquiry.
Earlier, the Minister directed cancellation of fair price shops and kerosene oil depots of relatives of the employees of CAPD department
During the interaction, the legislators and other public representatives apprised the Minister that no ration ghat is now empty and people are getting ration at a rate of 50 Kgs per ration card. Some of the representatives complained about less availability of atta and sugar, the Minister issued direction to supplement sugar and atta in view of the holly month of Ramdhan. It was, however, clarified that the supply of sugar has been delayed from Maharashstra itself but now two special trains carrying sugar have arrived at Jammu and the same is being rushed to different parts of State.
