VKMI for introducing moral education as subject in schools

Jammu, Sept 10-Vichar Kranti Manch International (VKMI) today appealed the education department and Board of School Education to introduce moral and ethical values as compulsory and separate subject from Nursery to 12th standard in schools.
Talking to media persons here today, Ram Rattan Sharma, general secretary VKMI moral education in imperative for eradicating social evils from the society. He said the Manch has adopted number of schools for moral education where seminars and workshops are being held regularly.
‘VKMI has contributed a lot in generating awareness during the state assembly and parliament elections regarding their duties responsibilities and their rights, prevailing upon the government and political parties to work for the political and electoral reforms to eradicate corruption’, he mentioned.
Alleging that major share of funds allotted for government works goes in corruption, he said millions of rupees in Swiss Bank should be brought back and used for reconstruction of the country.
