| 28 days of KPs struggle, demands yet to be addressed | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, SEP 10: Kashmiri Pandits languishing in different camps in Jammu and adjoining areas started agitation by demonstrating protests at Mishriwala, Muthi, Purkhu, Nagrota, Durga Nagar Talab Tillo and other several places to highlight their legitimate demands of which the community is deprived of. Protests started on 16th August and entered in 28th day today but there was no response from government as none of the demands had been addressed yet, said Organizer Kashmiri Pandit Welfare Movement S K Bhat. KP community not only is deprived for the fundamental rights but also are being befooled on every pretext as two years back Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh announced employment package for educated unemployed youth but is lying yet pending with out any reason, said Bhat and added that community demanded just implementation of employment package announced by Finance Minister during budget session, enhancement of cash relief from 4000 to 10 000and one time stipend to the tune of 25 lakhs for over aged qualified candidates of the community. Bhat informed that till the genuine demands are addressed the protests will continue. He said that the day agitation takes ugly shape the consequences would be direct responsibility of the government and authorities.
