Early Times Report
Jammu , Sep 10 The Jammu and Kashmir National Congress Party today urged the state government to name the fourth bridge on river Tawi after Major Akash Singh Sambya, who laid down his life while foiling an infiltration bid along Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district.
" Major Akash Singh was a brave officer. He sacrificed his life, but did not allow Pakistani militants to enter this side. We urged the state government to name fourth bridge on the name of this brave officer as a tribute to him," Jammu and Kashmir National Congress Party chief Thakur Randhir Singh told reporters today.
Regarding troop withdrawal demand by separatists and some political parties, Singh said,"How can there be troop withdrawal, when infiltration has increased and militancy is going on.
