| Consider petitioners for regularization: HC directs respondents | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Sept 11- In a petition filed by petitioners appointed on consolidated pay in the year 1987 and 1988, seeking regularization at par with private respondents, Justice Mansoor Ahmed Mir today directed the respondents to pass the consideration order keeping in view the recommendations made by the Director Rural Development Department Jammu to Secretary Rural Development. In the petition filed through Advocate Anil Sethi it has been submitted that the private respondents appointed on consolidated pay along with the petitioners in the year 1988 were regularized with effect from April 1, 1994 vide order April 12, 1997 and vide order December 19, 1995 and petitioners were ignored. It was further submitted that the same treatment was denied to the petitioners which amounts discriminatory in as much as against mandate of Article 14 of the constitution and prayed for their regularization with effect from date the private respondents were regularized. After hearing Advocate Anil Sethi, appearing for the petitioner Mohinder Singh and others, and Deputy Advocate General Shaista Hakim appearing for the Government respondents, Justice Mir observed that it appears that respondents have admitted that case of petitioners is under active consideration with the Government and as and when the matter is considered by the planning and development department the case of the petitioners would be considered for regularizations.
