| Yoga students seek authenticity of diploma course | | | EARLY TIMES RPEORTR

The activities of Student Social Federation (SSF) of University of Jammu have demanded that the Vice-Chancellor of the University should make it clear weather the Diploma offered by the University in Yoga studies is authentic or not.
Addressing as press conference here today the President of the Students Social Federation, Ravinder Singh Yogi said, a lot of misconception has been created about the authenticity of Diploma Certificate issued by the University. He said centre for Yoga studies was started under ISO-9001 in December 1998, and initially it was financially supported UGC for five years .Now the authenticity of diploma course is in question, beside University authorities are non0-serious about the issue.
Singh further demanded that new Yoga instructor be appointed in place of present incumbent Prof. D.L Choudhary who belongs to history department. He also said, no educational tour of students of Yoga was conducted for the post eight year. He urged for judicial inquiry with regard to mis-use of funds by the authorities. He said, if the demands of the students are not met by the authorities, students of protest and even can go for hunger strike, he said.
