| Khajuria visits Peermitha locality to assess people’s problems | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Sept 11- To have on the spot assessment of the problems being faced by the people the BJP State President and MLA Jammu East Ashok Khajuria today toured Peermitha locality of Ward No. He also visited the residence of Jia Lal who is allegedly harassed by the Auqaf Trust authorities. The BJP leader was told that the Auqaf trust officials badly damaged his house illegally and forcefully which was given on 21 years lease by the Mandir Mahant to Jia Lal on rent basis. The property belongs to mandir and the auqaf has no right to enter mandir premises. Taking serious note of the incident Khajuria said such an attempt to forcefully evacuate the land by auqaf may invite the public wrath and result into communal tension in the city. He warned that the government will be fully responsible if the situation takes communal turn as the administration is watching the whole drama as mute spectator, which raises doubts over some game plan hatched to disturb the social fabric. Khajuria also expressed his concern over delay in getting the nallah, lanes and drains repaired properly in the area for the public convenience. He urged the Deputy Commissioner Jammu to provide financial help to Jia Lal as he is a very person and can not repair the damaged house. He also urged the DC to personally intervene to sort out the matter before the situation gets deteriorated. Rajesh Gupta, Sanjiv Gupta, Vijay Mehra, Kuldeep Sharma, Dhan Swaroop, Subhash Gupta and Kuldeep Kandhari accompanied the MLA during his visit of the area.
