| NH-1A blocked over man’s death in Ramban | | | Early Times Report

Traffic on ever busiest Jammu-Srinagar National Highway was disrupted for over one-hour this morning when hundreds of protestors blocked the National Highway over an alleged murder of a man in Ramban district of Jammu and Kashmir and demanded justice.
‘Two groups entered into clash over a land dispute on Wednesday in which an old man got seriously injured,’’ police sources told adding that he was immediately shifted to the district hospital. Police sources however, said that the injured person, whose identity was yet to be ascertained, succumbed last night.
‘’Angry over his death, the protestors this morning blocked the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway alleging that he has been murdered,’’ police sources said.
Demanding arrest of the culprits, the protestors blocked the highway as the traffic on the national highway remained standstill for around one-hour.
‘’We have assured a strict action against the accused on which they agreed to clear the road,’’ police officer said.
