| Defence Course | | Scribes leave for forward areas | | Early times report

A group of thirty four journalists representing various prestigious media houses from all over the country began their Forward Area Tour leg of the Defence Correspondents’ Course (DCC-2009) in J & K from Nagrota garrison today.
Defence spokesperson Jammu said that the participants are on the last phase of the one month long DCC-2009 conducted by the Directorate of Public Relations, Ministry of Defence, New Delhi. The team has already attended the Naval module at Kochi, the Air Force module at Pathankot and the Army leg in Mamun Military Station before moving to Nagrota for the forward area visit which will be conducted under the aegis of White Knight Corps .
Brig Gurdeep Singh, BGS of White Knight Corps delivered the opening address & interacted with the course participants at Nagrota and informed during this visit the participants will also visit forward posts on the Line of Control to witness first hand, the manner in which the troops operate in an LC scenario. .
