LEH (LADAKH), SEPTEMBER 12 - The Governor, N. N. Vohra, arrived Leh this morning from Nubra. The Governor was received by the MLC, Narboo Gyalson, Executive Councillors of Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC), Leh, Mohammad Khan, Dorjay Stanzin and Phunchok Stanzin, Councillors, former Legislator and ex-MP, P. Namgyal, Deputy Commissioner, Leh, A. K. Sahu, SSP Leh, B. S. Tuti and other Civil, Police and Army officers. He was given a warm and traditional welcome by presenting Khataks to him. From Partappur, the Governor was accompanied by the Northern Army Commander, Lt. Gen. P. C. Bhardwaj, Corps Commander, 14 Corps, Lt. Gen. S. K. Singh and Principal Secretary to the Governor, Raj Kumar Goyal. On arrival at the Circuit House, the Governor was briefed by the Executive Councillors of the Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council and the Deputy Commissioner about the pace of progress on the execution of various development works and welfare schemes. He particularly enquired about the health and education sectors and emphasized the need for filling up the vacancies in these departments to provide the best possible healthcare services to the people and quality education to the children
