| SVO registers cases against ex. VC SKUAST-Jammu, Ors | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 12- The State Vigilance Organization has registered two cases against Nagendra Sharma, former Vice-Chancellor, Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agriculture Sciences and Technology, Jammu and others for effecting purchase of Swaged Steel Tabular (SST) Poles on exorbitant rates and illegal appointments in the University. The purchase of SST is reported to have been made without observing necessary codal formalities, and without any specific allocation of funds, leading to a substantial loss to public exchequer. The second case pertains to illegal appointments made in SKUAST-Jammu over a period of time without available vacancies and in gross violation of the norms, a Vigilance spokesman said here today.
He said the investigation has been taken up by the Organization.
