| Girl injured in militant attack in Doda | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Sep 13 One girl was injured, when members of Village Defence Committee foil a militant attack in remote hilly hamlet in Kashtigarh, 190 kilometres from here today. According to official sources, militants barged into a remote village Kashtigarh in Doda district and fired on a house today. However, VDC members took positions and returned fire. There was an exchange of firing for about 15 minutes and later militants fled from the spot, they said adding that there was injury to a 17-year old girl, who was later hosptalised. Security forces rushed to the spot and launched a combing operation in the area to track down militants responsible for the act. The militants had come to the village to trigger massacre in the area, but timely action by the VDC have not only foiled the attack but saved the village from a carnage, security forces said.
