| BSF to install flood lights on Indo-Pak border in J-K | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Sep 13 With the threat perception increasing due to cross-border infiltration, the Border Security Force (BSF) is installing flood lights on the Indo-Pak border in Jammu and Kashmir.
"With a view of increased security set up along the border line, BSF troops have last week floated tenders for the flood lighting of 39 kms of International Border (IB) in Jammu frontier soon," BSF sources said.
The BSF had completed three-tier border fencing on 198 kms of International Border from Akhnoor (Jammu) to Pahadapur (Punjab) and another 160 kms area two years ago.
But some riverine and marshy land was left out and now it was decided to complete the fencing and flood lighting of the entire borderline, they said.
These floodlights would be installed in some patches in Samba, Jammu and Kathua districts on the border.
