| Congress Unity Forum snubs Mustafa Kamal | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Sept 13- Jammu and Kashmir Congress Unity Forum has refuted the allegations leveled by former minister, uncle of chief minister Omar Abdullah and NC MLA Dr Mustafa Kamal in an interview that Congress has always acted with ill-intentions towards NC and that he was not included in the State Cabinet because Delhi did not wanted him. Forum President S .R .Sudhir in a statement said here today that the allegations are imaginary and baseless and reflects the frustration of Dr Mustafa for not getting berth in the Ministry. He further said that Dr Kamal was to be included in the Ministry from the NC quota and Congress had nothing to do with his induction or non-induction. ‘Such outbursts will not strengthen the coalition government but can help those forces which are working to de-stabilize the coalition arrangement in the State’, he said. The Forum President maintained that there is no truth in his allegation that New Delhi sought to undermine the constitutional safeguards guaranteed to the State in the shape of Article 370 and added that State has been enjoying full autonomy and special status in the country. The laws passed and amendments made in the State Constitution in 1965 by the State Legislature were aimed at strengthening the process of integration which brought the state more closer to the rest of the country, Sudhir pointed out.
